Food safety and standards Act, 2006 ensures the food safety and regulations in India at Central level. For this, food safety and standards Authority of India (FSSAI) was created. FSSAI'S main goal is to seek public health through a set of guidelines and regulations in the country. FSSAI issues license to the various businesses. It charges a certain amount of fee. For the general public, an issued number is printed on their products. It works under the ministry of health and family welfare, government of India.
